Come
and play QIGONG and TAIJI (T’ai
Chi)!! These ancient Chinese movement arts are low-impact ways
to improve strength, flexibility and balance. QIGONG is energy
cultivation through gentle exercises that incorporate deep breathing,
focused intention, and mindful postures to facilitate the flow
of Qi. TAIJI is a form of QIGONG that is often called meditation
in motion. It is characterized by flowing movements that lead
from one into the other and is a manifestation of the dynamic
relationship of Yin and Yang. The goal of QIGONG, and hence TAIJI,
is to integrate body, mind and breath to achieve balance and harmony by moving
Qi through the body. Please wear loose, comfortable clothing

Fall is the time of harvest, a time of gathering earth's bounties and nurturing our energies in preparation for the yin days of winter. Learn how to fill up your Qi tank to maintain physical health and attitudinal wellness during the shortening hours of daylight. During this workshop, we will explore ways to nourish and nurture our energies through the practice of selected Qigong forms that promote health and healing. The goal of Qigong is to harmonize body, mind and breath through a process of gathering, cleansing and circulating Qi, or vital energy, for increased health and vitality of all body systems. This intention, which underlies all Chinese medicine, is for the Qi to flow smoothly and continously, creating a state of harmony and balance. Please wear loose, comfortable clothing and come prepared to exercise your body, mind and spirit!
